Kazind 2024 Military Exercise:
The military exercise Kazind 2024 between India and Kazakhstan is to be held from 30 September to 13 October 2024. 120 soldiers of the Kumaon Regiment Battalion are participating in this exercise. The Kazakhstan contingent is mainly represented by land forces and air assault troops. The main objective of this exercise is to enhance the joint military capability of both sides to conduct counter-terrorism operations in sub-conventional scenarios under Exercise VII of the United Nations Charter. It will focus on operations in semi-urban and mountainous terrain.
Ajit Saxena’s Appointment in RITE NL:
The government has given additional charge of Managing Director and Managing Director of RITE NL to Ajit Saxena Kumar. Saxena is currently the Managing Director and Managing Director of the government-owned public sector corporation MOIL Limited. MOIL is a manganese mining company of the public sector.

Social Justice and NALSA Agreement
An agreement was signed between the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment and the National Legal Services Authority in New Delhi. This important partnership aims to increase awareness among the people about the various Acts, Rules and Schemes of the Department, especially those enacted to provide relief to the marginalized and weaker sections of the society. NALSA, constituted under the Legal Services Authorities Act 1987, aims to provide legal aid to disadvantaged groups and spread legal literacy.
SEBI’s New Asset Class and Recognised Fund Lite
The Securities and Equities Board of India has announced the introduction of a new asset class and a liberalised Recognised Fund Lite with an aim to boost the investment landscape in India. The decision was taken during the SEBI board meeting, which was the first meeting after the recent appointment of SEBI chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch. The Revolution Lite framework specifically sets a passive fund investment limit of Rs 10 lakh.
AYUSH Medical Value Travel Summit (2024)
Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav inaugurated the AYUSH Medical Value Travel Summit 2024. The theme of the summit is Global Synergies in AYUSH Transforming Health and Wellness through Medical Value Travel. It is organized by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra and key partners. It provided a platform for stakeholders including government officials, wellness centers, etc. to discuss the future of AYUSH based healthcare and medical value travel.
Bidkin Industrial Area Inauguration by Prime Minister Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Bidkin Industrial Area to the nation in Maharashtra. Bidkin Industrial Area has been developed as part of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme. Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited is a special purpose vehicle formed with a 51:49 partnership. It has been formed in collaboration with Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation and Nation Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust.
AYUSH and Modern Healthcare Integration
Shri Prataprao Parivar, Union Minister of State, Ministry of AYUSH, and Union Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Government of India inaugurated the AYUSH Medical Value Travel Summit 2024. The event took place in Mumbai. The aim is to strengthen India’s position in the medical world by combining traditional Indian medical institutions like Ayurveda, Yoga, Greek, Siddha and Homeopathy with modern health care institutions.
