Yuva Sangam Registration Portal Launched

Yuva Sangam Registration Portal Launched

The registration portal for the 5th phase of Yuva Sangam under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat has been launched by the Ministry of Education. Yuva Sangam is an initiative of the Centre. It aims to strengthen people-to-people contact between the youth of different states and union territories. Youth between the age of 18 to 30 years can participate in this initiative by registering on the Yuva Sangam portal. The last date for registration for Yuva Sangam is 21 October. During the Yuva Sangam visits, the visiting delegations will be provided a multi-faceted experience under five broad areas over a period of 5-7 days.


Government to Set Up 10 New ESIC Medical Colleges

The government will set up 10 new ESIC medical colleges at various locations in the country. The Ministry of Labour and Employment said that the government will set up 10 new ESIC medical colleges and extend the unemployment allowance scheme for ESIC Corporation members till June 2026. Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced several important decisions to further strengthen the infrastructure and medical facilities of ESIC at the ESIC Corporation meeting. He has extended the Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana for a period of two years till June 30, 2026.

Scientists Identify New Cancer Therapeutic Target

The Bodo Traditional Brewers Association had applied for the Geographical Indication tag for three varieties of rice beer: Bodo Jau Gwara, Maibra Jau Bishi, and Boda Jau Gishi have received the GI tag. The Bodo people believe that rice beer comes from Lord Shiva and is considered a medicine.
