Joint military exercise AustraHind between India and Australia started in Pune. 

The aim of this exercise is to promote cooperation by increasing interoperability in the conduct of joint sub-conventional operations in semi-urban environments in semi-desert areas under the relevant chapter of the United Nations mandate. During this exercise, which will run till November 21, both sides will also share their best practices in tactics, techniques, and procedures of tactical operations at the Foreign Training Node.

Israeli researchers have developed software that enables computers to process data directly in memory. 

This software bypasses the need for a central processing unit to process data directly in memory. This innovation solves the issue of energy and time-intensive data transfer between memory and CPU, which are the main bottlenecks in modern computing. This approach will reduce dependence on the CPU, leading to significant savings of time and energy.

Foundation stone of PV Sindhu Badminton Centre laid in Visakhapatnam. 

2 acres of land was allotted in Visakhapatnam by the state government in June 2021 for this center. This initiative has been launched through a partnership with Greenko. This center will be a testimony to their vision to guide future champions.

The 1967 decision on the minority status of Aligarh Muslim University was quashed by the Supreme Court.

 It had said that Aligarh Muslim University, being a central university, cannot be classified as a minority institution. The Constitution Bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud gave this verdict. The view taken in the 1967 case of Aziz Basha is that if an educational institution acquires its legal character through a law, it is not established by a minority.

FSIB has recommended the name of Laash Srivastava for the post of Deputy Managing Director in IIFCL.

 At present, Srivastava is the Chief Executive Officer of IIFCL Projects Limited, a subsidiary of IIFCL. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take the final decision on both the recommendations of FSIB. The Financial Service Institute Bureau is headed by Bhanu Pratap Sharma, former Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training.

The third Rohini Nayyar Award was given to 28-year-old engineer Anil Pradhan of Odisha.

Bengaluru’s first digital population clock was inaugurated at the Institute for Socioeconomic Change. 

It will provide real-time estimates of Karnataka’s population in the country. The project was jointly completed by ISEC and the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It will update the state’s population every 1.10 minutes and the country’s population every two seconds. The clock will play an important role in enhancing our understanding of population trends.
