Max India & IIT Delhi Collaborate for Population Health Solutions

Max India Limited announced a partnership between its subsidiary Intera Assisted Care Limited and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. The objective of this collaboration is to develop solutions to the challenges faced by the Indian population by im- proving the quality of life of their population. Its objective is to design solutions specifically keeping in mind the elderly and adolescents to improve cog- nitive disability and health.

Dragonfire Laser: Game-Changer in Air Defense

Britain has successfully tested its Dragonfire Laser Directed Energy Weapon, demonstrating its ability to destroy enemy products and missiles at low cost. A demonstration in January in Scotland illustrated the laser’s use in prototyping and destroying air- ships, making the venture a particular game-changer in air defense technology.

Revolutionizing Fuel: Ethanol 100 Unveiled

Excise Minister Hardeep Singh Puri unveiled Etha- nol 100, an automotive gel aimed at reducing turn- over and promoting sustainability. This is part of a broader strategy to increase ethanol blending in petrol for the first time, in which significant progress has already been made in increasing the spice and solid grades in select states. Ethanol 100 with a high- octane rating typically between 100.105 is suitable for high-performance engines, producing better ef- ficiency and power while reducing knock-on ef- fects.

Rajnath Singh Launches Modern Navy HQ

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has inaugurated the Navy Building. This is the new state-of-the-art head- quarters of the Indian Navy in Delhi Cantonment. The Navy has established its first independent head- quarters in Delhi. The Navy earlier operated from 13 different locations.

Navneet Kumar Sehgal: New Chairman of Prasar Bharati

Navneet Kumar Sehgal became the new chairman of Prasar Bharati. Navneet Kumar Sehgal is a re- tired bureaucrat of 1988 batch of UP cadre. He suc- ceeds A Surya Prakash who completed his tenure as chairman in 2020.

RBI Imposes Penalties: Non-compliance Consequences

RBI has imposed penalties for non-compliance of its directions on interest rate on deposits, customer service in banks, interest rate on advances and oth- ers. The fines are also for non-compliance with RBI directions on amendment in reporting to the Central Repository of Information on Large Loans and mem- bership of credit information companies. The pen- alties are also for non-compliance with RBI direc- tions on membership of credit information compa- nies. The penalties are also for violation of the pro- visions of the Credit Information Companies Rules 2006. A financial penalty of Rs 29.55 lakh has been imposed on Bandhan Bank by RBI.

Global Democracy Report: Decline in Democratic Principles

The We Dem Institute’s Democrat Democracy Re- port is published, revealing the global level of demo- crats. India’s 2018 report, following a decline in shamelessness, described freedom as proportion- ate. The report highlights the decline of democratic principles, particularly in the framework of free- dom of expression, media freedom and civil liber- ties.

Sansa’s Purvanchal Ratan Tata has been honored with the prestigious PV Narasimha Rao Memorial Award. He has been awarded for his outstanding philanthropic contribution. He received the award for his outstanding philanthropic contribution. 

Electoral Bond Data: BJP Leads with Rs 6060 Cr, Trinamool at Rs 1609 Cr

Election Commission released electoral bond data on its website. This data was provided by State Bank of India following the instructions of the Supreme Court. According to the data, Bharatiya Janata Party received electoral bonds worth Rs 6060 crore from 12 April 2019 to 24 January 2024. Trinamool Con- gress redeemed bonds worth Rs 1609 crore. Con- gress stood third with Rs 1422 crore.
