Prime Minister Narendra Modi Visits Srinagar and Announces Big Plans

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Srinagar to announce some important projects for the region. This was his first visit to the Valley after Article 370 was removed.

During his visit, PM Modi went to an exhibition where he saw local products from Jammu and Kashmir. He also attended a program called ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu Kashmir’ at Bakshi Stadium, where he was welcomed by Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha.

PM Modi launched projects worth over Rs 1,400 crore for tourism under the ‘Swadesh Darshan’ and ‘PRASHAD’ schemes. This includes improving the Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar for visitors.

He also gave job appointment letters to around 1,000 new government employees in Jammu and Kashmir. PM Modi talked to people who have benefited from government schemes, like women achievers, farmers, and entrepreneurs.

To help farmers, PM Modi launched the ‘Holistic Agriculture Development Programme’ (HADP). This program will train about 2.5 lakh farmers and set up 2,000 farmers’ service centers.

The tourism projects PM Modi announced are part of his plan to improve tourist spots across India. This includes projects in Meghalaya, Bihar, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh.

He also started the ‘Dekho Apna Desh People’s Choice Tourist Destination Poll’ and the ‘Chalo India Global Diaspora’ campaign. These aim to encourage non-Indians to visit India and promote Indian tourism worldwide.

PM Modi’s visit to Srinagar shows that the government is focused on developing Jammu and Kashmir, which will bring more opportunities and growth to the region.
